Booklet - 14º Family Film Project

2025

Booklet with the complete program of the 2025 Family Film Project Film Festival (14th edition).

Booklet organized by: Filipe Martins, Né Barros

Preface by Filipe Martins

The Family Film Project is an international film festival held annually in Porto since 2012, dedicated to exploring alternative forms of cinematic creation. With a special focus on archival, ethnographic, and experimental cinema—including the aesthetic appropriation of home movies and found footage—the festival values the intimate and archaeological dimensions of images.

In addition to the standard competitive section and focus programs dedicated to guest directors, the lineup seeks to intersect cinema with other arts and fields of thought, featuring performances, installations, masterclasses, and conferences with international filmmakers, artists, and researchers. In parallel, the Family Film Project runs an ongoing open call for family archive materials, which may be featured in special screenings, film-concerts, or exhibitions.
